How many years have you been in the industry? 17 years How would you describe your personal style? I love to be trendy, but comfy too! Lipstick always helps me feel brighter and more put together! I always say when I found red lipstick, I found myself! What is your favorite thing about doing hair? I have always been inspired by the creativity of it all! I love making people feel good about themselves and making the change they need to love their hair again! I LOVE coloring and a sassy cut too! What inspired you to be a stylist? I always knew I would do something in a creative field….I had very supportive people in my life that let me do whatever I loved. I have always been inspired by fashion, arts and movies! Redken dry shampoo What is your favorite quote? “You’re never fully dressed without a smile” How would you describe your personal style? Comfortable, versatile, and trendy. I like to be able to go from Work to the gym (or a hike, or a run), and then meet up with friends, without a suitcase of clothes and shoes! What is your favorite thing about doing hair? I really enjoy making people feel good about themselves. It’s amazing what a good cut/color, or even a genuine conversation can do to lift someone up. Why luxe for style? After moving across the country in early 2014, and traveling a lot in the past 3 years, Olympia kept calling me home, and I finally listened. Fate, or snow, brought Megan and I together at SEAtac airport, we chatted while waiting for our cancelled flights to rebook. I discovered she was hiring, and I was looking for a salon after just moving back from California. We exchanged numbers, and now, I’m here! This team of women feels like family already. Redkens align with a dab of argon oil! It’s the perfect product cocktail! Where do you look for inspiration? My children! I became a mom at a really young age. I learned quickly what it means to put someone else’s needs before your own. Especially, my daughter. She is the strongest, most thoughtful kind young lady. She inspires me to look beyond what meets the eye, everyday! My boys, raising them to be kind, respectful, honest men. My sweet little granddaughters, they have my whole heart. What inspired you to be a stylist? I grew up in the salon from a really young age, I was dropping perm rods by the time I was 10, and folding towels after school, it’s all I have ever known. I started working as a receptionist in my early 20s at local salon. I loved watching how happy guests were, how excited they were to see their stylist. The change you could make in one persons day!! This industry is so massive, and it’s ever changing! It’s incredible to be a tiny piece of that! Why luxe for style? The culture. It’s real. The atmosphere. The laughter, the honesty, the amount of support of women supporting women! |

She was the recipient of the esteemed Gene Juarez Academy Award given to her for guest retention and excellence. In addition, she has also has extensive training in balayage, foliage, and designer color techniques. What is your favorite thing about doing hair? Really, it’s the people that I get to serve. Over my 15+ years of experience I have grown to love my clients and create great relationships with them, and I love making them feel amazing day in and day out! |
